How to Vet China Sex Toy Quality Remotely
When you’re importing sex toys from China but can’t check the goods in person, you need a simple way to guarantee quality. One of my customers does it like this:
Her supplier sends detailed packing photos & video before shipping—
✔ The toy itself (in a clear PE bag)
✔ User manual & warranty card or brochure (correct language, no mistakes)
✔ Gift box (no dents, printing errors, or cheap materials)
✔ Shipping carton (no staples, properly sealed, labels correct)
✔ Safety marks & compliance stickers (CE, RoHS, FDA if needed)
This method works because:
- You catch mistakes early (wrong colors, missing accessories, damaged packaging).
- No surprises when the goods arrive—you already approved how everything looks.
- Suppliers take it more seriously when they know you’re checking.
How to Do This with Your Supplier
- Tell Them Photos Are Mandatory
- “Before shipping, send me clear photos of: the product, packaging, manual, and shipping carton. I must approve before shipment.”
- Ask for close-ups of labels, logos, and safety marks.
- Check for Common Defects
- Material defects (tears, weird smells, sticky silicone)
- Printing errors (blurry logos, wrong text)
- Missing/wrong parts (batteries, chargers, instructions)
- Compare Against Your Sample
- If you approved a sample, make sure the bulk order matches exactly.
- Use a Simple Approval System
- ✅ If good → “Approved, you can ship.”
- ❌ If bad → “Fix these issues first.”
Bonus: Other Easy QC Tricks
- Video call during packing (ask them to show you random units from the batch).
- Order a “pre-shipment sample” (1 fully packed unit sent to you before mass shipping).
- Hire a cheap local inspector (found on Fiverr/Upwork) for a quick factory check.
What If the Supplier Refuses?
- Say: “Other suppliers do this, why can’t you?”
- Switch to a more cooperative supplier—good ones won’t argue over basic QC.
Final Tip
Most quality issues happen because suppliers rush or cut corners. By forcing them to show proof before shipping, you keep them honest.
